New month – New location – New friends

Between Johannesburg and Pretoria, not far from Lanseria Airport, is the semi- rural area of Chartwell. Entertainment in this area centres mainly around equestrian activities, cycling or walking and for the children there are a couple of swimming and dance schools. It is in the “DANCE STUDIO” in Runnymead Avenue that we hold our Fitness League gym classes on Monday and Thursday mornings.

Well positioned on two acres of beautiful garden with all the doors on one side of the studio open to the patio and pool, the resident dogs and cats feel quite at home wandering in and out of the class – in time with the music of course! – and the ladies carefully push them aside if they are ever in their way.

We come to class
for stretch and tone
But make no mistake
not that alone

Rather we enjoy the chatter
of recipes, gardening, children –
no matter

The hour flies by –
real life to start
Much happier though
we prepare to part
